Let Trees Grow Over It

Art Walk for artspring festival 2025

Let trees grow over it.
A participatory-sensory after-work walk through space & time

The hbh-kollektiv, consisting of Ghasal Falaki, Nicole Pearson & Nina Berfelde, leads a walk in the allotment garden Bornholm II and on the Berlin Wall Trail to contextualize space & timelines together with the participants. Starting with a somatic practice, we open up to the space and then explore it with all our senses. Residents of the Mauerweg, the history of violence in the immediate vicinity of the allotment garden site, as well as personal connections to erasure, violence and repair will be recognized and uncovered. Participants are asked to sense the place through its non-human inhabitants and then share and discuss what they have found in the group. This will be accompanied by short texts read and contributed by the hbh-kollektiv. Finally, the walk leads along the remains of the Berlin Wall back to the garden restaurant.
